Why Go Greek?

    • 154 members of the Greek community, or 34%, were on the Deans’ List this semester. Of this number, 54 students, or 35%, had a 4.0 GPA.
    • 39% of Greek women were on the Deans’ List for Spring 2019. 40% of these women had a 4.0 GPA. 28% of Greek men were onthe Deans’ List for Spring 2019. 28% of these men had a 4.0 GPA.
    • Congratulations to the new member classes of Phi Mu Delta and Zeta Tau Alpha for the highest new member GPA. The groups had a 3.69 and 3.61, respectively.
    • Our community breakdown across campus is as follows: 38% in the College of Arts & Sciences, 34% in the College of Pharma- cy, 16% in the College of Business Administration, and 12% in the College of Engineering.

    • $12, 628 were donated to philanthropic organizations by the Greek community. An average of $789 per week were donated by the Greek community to benefit philanthropic organizations throughout the semester.

    • 38 students joined fraternities and sororities this semester (16 joined the 4 sororities and 22 joined the 7 fraternities).
    • 100% of the students who joined a Greek organization this semester are still actively involved as of the end of Spring Semester.
    • The Greek population at Ohio Northern University is 18% of the campus (21% of the women and 16% of the men).

    • The Greek community spent a total of 3,993 hours in direct community service. Greek members performed an average of 250 hours of direct community service each week throughout the semester.
